Summer Focus

As we enter this new season with different availabilities and schedules, I want to make sure we don't lose intentionality with our regular rhythms and gatherings.

Sunday Gatherings.

Our Sunday Gatherings will remain at the Anderson Mill Community Center at 10 am on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sundays of the month. We will be going through a series on  Ezra/ Nehemiah throughout the summer. Make it a priority to gather as the church. We are called to build each other up, to worship, study God's word together, and to pray.

4th Sundays will be Scattered Sundays  - Scattered Sundays are a reminder to us that the church isn’t only the Gathering on Sunday mornings or a building we go to, but a people that are sent to be missionaries to the places they live and the people they encounter each day.  We use scattered Sundays as a way to invite those outside the church to come and be a part. Scattered Sunday activities flow through the Missional Communities.

We have 2 MC's  West MC - Led by the Hines and Rings and the Jollyville MC lead by the Moore's. If you haven't connected to an MC, let us know, and we will get you on their communication channels so you can be involved. email:

Summer Focus - 2 ways to be intentional with your summer.

  • Missionary Identity - We are focusing on our identity as Missionaries this summer. We are a sent people, sent to Show ( how we live ) and Share (with our words) the good news of Jesus in all of life.  I challenged us as a church to ask God for someone we can share the Gospel with this Summer.

  1. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to take a moment and ask God - Is there someone you want me to share the hope, the Good News of Jesus with this summer June, July, and August.

  2. Once you have identified a person or group or people, the next question is: what will I need to do to pursue this person? Meals, listen to their story, bless them, serve them.

  3. Lastly, what ways are you nervous or apprehensive about sharing your faith? Voice these to God, share them with your DNA or others so that we can pray for each other.

  • Same Page Summer - Lindsey Hines shared a summer reading plan called #Samepagesummer. I think most of us might say that we struggle to read scripture and spend time with Jesus regularly. This will be a great addition to your summer rhythms if you don’t already have a reading plan.  Bonus we can do this together.  You can download the plan here:
