Scattered Sunday - April 26
One of our regular rhythms for our Sunday Gatherings is to Scatter on the last Sunday of the month. Even though we haven’t been able to gather at the community center, together we still want to keep this rhythm. So this week we will scatter. We have a two-fold focus for our Scattered Sunday:
Grow in our dependence and fluency in prayer. We will prayer walk our neighborhoods, apartment complex and streets praying for God to bring revival.
Practice Rhythms that will help us be a Non-Anxious Presence and live out our resurrected life.

Call to Worship
Psalm 8
1 Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. 2 Through the praise of children and infants, you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. 3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon, and the stars, which you have set in place, 4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them? 5 You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. 6 You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet: 7 all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, 8 the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. 9 Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
Confession
Most merciful God, I confess that I have sinned against you,
in thought, word, and deed, by what I have done, and by what I have left undone.
I have not loved you with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbors as myself,
I am truly sorry and humbly repent.
For the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, have mercy on me and forgive me,
that I may delight in your will, and walk-in your ways, to the glory of your name.

Reflection on God’s word - Philippians 4:1-9
1Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends!
2 I plead with Euodia, and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord. 3 Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. 9 Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
From our sermon on BEING a Non-anxious Presence -
Vs. 2-3 Seek Unity - forgiveness and repentance. Who do you need to forgive? What do you need to repent of?
Vs. 4 Joy - Practice Gratitude/ thankfulness - What are you thankful for?
Vs. 5 Gentle - slow down Memorize scripture - focus your eyes on him ( Memorize Philippians 4:4-9)
Vs. 6 Don’t be anxious - Balance the scale of anxiety with prayer, silence, solitude
Vs. 7 Peace of God will guard your hearts - God will guard your heart!
Prayer Walk
You can take 5 mins or 1 hr, but prayer walking can be an intentional rhythm to ask God to give you his eyes for your neighborhood, community, or apartment complex.
Pick a route and time that would be good for you. If you have kids think of them too.
Choose what you will pray for and how you will pray.
Will you pray for whatever comes to mind, for revival in your neighborhood, for the neighbors you see or pass their house, for people out and about
Ask God to give you his eyes to understand the needs and brokenness we pass by daily without noticing.
Will you pray out loud or silently?
Reflect on God as creator, his love for the world, and you.
Share any thoughts you have with DNA, Missional Community, or others.
