What you need to know about our outdoor gathering:
Bring chairs and blankets for seating. Blankets might be helpful for younger kids so that they can see the space they need to stay in. Also, if your kids need toys or activities during the gathering, it's not a problem, bring them too.
Wear masks, We will be outside and socially distant, but wearing a mask is still a good idea.
The Gathering will be around 45 mins. Mostly singing and sharing.
Following the Gathering, make an effort not to start congregating together too close. I know this will be hard, but we need to respect each other as we Gather and maintain social distancing.
Outdoor Liturgy
Welcome
Call to Worship - Psalm 8
1 O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory above the heavens.
2 Out of the mouth of babies and infants,
you have established strength because of your foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.
3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
4 what is man that you are mindful of him,
and the son of man that you care for him?
5 Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings[b]
and crowned him with glory and honor.
6 You have given him dominion over the works of your hands;
you have put all things under his feet,
7 all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
8 the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea,
whatever passes along the paths of the seas.
9 O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is your name in all the earth!
How Deep the Father’s Love For Us
How vast beyond all measure
That He should give His only son
To make a wretch His treasure
How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many son's to glory
Behold the Man upon the cross
My sin upon His shoulder
Ashamed I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers
It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished
I will not boast in anything
No gifts no power no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom
Reckless Love
Before I spoke a word,
You were singing over me
You have been so, so good to me
Before I took a breath,
You breathed Your life in me
You have been so, so kind to me
Chorus
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
Oh, it chases me down, fights 'til I'm found, leaves the ninety-nine
I couldn't earn it, I don't deserve it, still You give Yourself away
Oh, the overwhelming, never-ending, reckless love of God
When I was Your foe,
Still Your love fought for me
You have been so, so good to me
When I felt no worth,
You paid it all for me
You have been so, so kind to me
There's no shadow You won't light up
Mountain You won't climb up, coming after me
There's no wall You won't kick down
Lie You won't tear down, coming after me
Evidences of God’s Grace - Eph 4:15-16
Sermon - The Love of Christ Compels Us - 2 Corinthians 5:14
It Is Well
When peace like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well, with my soul
It is well (It is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come,
Let this blest assurance control,
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate,
And hath shed His own blood for my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul
And, Lord, haste the day
When my faith shall be sight
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll
The trump shall resound
The Lord shall descend
Even so it is well with my soul
It is well (it is well)
With my soul (with my soul)
It is well, it is well with my soul
Jesus is Better
There is no other, so sure and steady
My hope is held in Your hand
When castles crumble, and breath is fleeting
Upon this rock I will stand, upon this rock I will stand
CHORUS:
Glory, glory, we have no other king
But Jesus Lord of all
We raise the anthem our loudest praises ring
We crown Him Lord of all
Your kindly rule has shattered and broke
The curse of sin's tyranny
My life is hidden 'neath Heaven's shadow
Your crimson flood covers me, Your crimson flood covers me
In all my sorrows Jesus is better, make my heart believe
In every vict'ry Jesus is better, make my heart believe
Than any comfort Jesus is better, make my heart believe
More than all riches Jesus is better, make my heart believe
Our souls declaring: Jesus is better, make my heart believe
Our song eternal: Jesus is better, make my heart believe
Glory, glory, we have no other king
